2014 Africa Hotel Investment Forum to be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

The newly established Ethiopian Tourism Organization, together with the Ethiopian Investment Commission, is very proud to announce that the renowned Africa Hotel Investment Forum will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia this year.

AHIF 2014 will provide attendees a double benefit of networking and widening their knowledge of Africa, alongside the opportunity to meet good quality prospective local partners – which is an essential first step in making a successful hotel investment anywhere in Africa. The forum will offer a fantastic range of opportunities to promote companies to hotel developers, investors and operators.

According to the World Economic Outlook, Ethiopia's economy has experienced strong and broad based growth over the past decade, averaging 10.6% per year until 2012 compared to the regional average of 4.9%. This growth brought with it positive trends in economic activity, specifically within the investment landscape. The Ethiopian tourism sector is constantly growing and is increasingly getting recognition by leading travel guides and the international media. The government of Ethiopia has recognized the increasing demand throughout the entire tourism value chain and has therefore created suitable investment conditions implemented by the Ethiopian Investment Commission.
