The Pan African Technical Association (PATA) and the Colonel John Robinson American Center, would kindly like to invite you to take part in our Colonel John C. Robinson Art Contest. 

This contest is an opportunity for artist to create an artwork showing the image of Colonel John C. Robinson.

The artwork may also show the Colonel in a landscape type environment, for example flying his aircraft through the mountains or having a meeting with Emperor Haile Selassie at the Sidist Kilo Genete Leul Palace or at Janmeda airfield preparing for a mission. Artists can use any medium that will clearly depict an image of the Colonel and the art will be judged based on this criterion. Mediums can be stained glass, canvas or any other medium and the art can be paintings, collages or any other form. Artwork sizes can be 100cms by 100cms, 100cms by 75cms, or 75cms by 75cms. Robinson Portrait Contest. 

There will be 3 prizes.  One prize for 18 and below (2500 Birr), one prize for artist above 18 years old ( 2500 Birr) and one honorable mention prize (1000 Birr) and selected artwork will be installed at the Colonel John Robinson American Center.

Registration will be from the 17th of January to the 11th of February. 

Submission date for the art works will be from 11th February to 18th February to the Colonel John C. Robinson American Center. Your completed artwork shall be submitted to Ato Fitsum Seyoum (0911.68.97.59), the Program Outreach Specialist at the Colonel John Robinson American Center. The Colonel John Robinson American Center is located in the National Archive and Library Agency (NALA) building behind the Commercial Bank of Ethiopian and next to the National Bank of Ethiopia. The award day will be on 28th February and will be held at the Colonel John C. Robinson American center. All artwork will be kept
by the organizers to be used in a non-profit setting.
